A personalised bag tag helps identify a school bag, lunch bag or pencil case without opening it. It does not guarantee a misplaced bag will be returned. Our bag tags come three ways: a themed tag to match the rest of the school labels, a design-your-own tag, and a personalised acrylic name tag. Here is how to choose between them.
Themed bag tags: 5 cm or 2.5 cm
The themed tags come in two sizes. The 5 cm tag is for the larger bags: the school bag, the sports bag, the swimming bag. The 2.5 cm tag is for smaller bags and pencil cases, where a big tag would get in the way of the zip. The listing describes them as waterproof and protected against UV and scratches, which is what you want on something that lives on the outside of a bag in the South African sun.
The described themed tags support a name and optional telephone number. Choose contact details you are comfortable displaying on a visible tag; the acrylic name tag has different personalisation. There are more than twenty designs, matching the themes across the rest of the school range: Dinosaurs, Sharks, Pink Unicorns, Mermaids, Space, Robots, Superhero and the rest, plus a Plain tag and a handful of earlier designs such as Animals, Birds and Sea Creatures. If the lunch box has Dinosaurs on it, the bag can too.
Design your own bag tag
The Design your own bag tag is the same tag with your own artwork on it. You choose the colours and patterns, add icons if you like, add the name and an optional contact number, and the tag is printed from your design. Its listing specifies 5 cm for larger bags and 2.5 cm for smaller bags and pencil cases. Check the attachment point and space on your actual bag before choosing. It loops onto a zip, a handle or a strap, which makes it the one to pick when a child has a very definite idea of what their bag should look like.
The acrylic name tag
The Name Bag Tag is a different thing altogether. It is a solid Perspex tag, cut to the shape of the name itself: 5 cm high, with the length set by the name, so "Amelia" and "Jo" each get a tag that fits them. It is polished to a glossy finish, comes with a keyring, and you choose a font from four (Lilita, Pacifico, Just another hand and Marykate) and a colour. It is an option for a tog bag, a gym bag or a set of keys as much as for a school bag, and it makes a good gift for a child who has outgrown cartoon themes but still wants their name on their things.
