Green Wreath personalised Christmas gift label

How many Christmas gift labels should you order?

For our Christmas gift labels, the checked variants offer 14 labels for R55, 28 for R100 or 42 for R145. These prices were checked on 23 October 2026; confirm your selected design’s current price before ordering. Some descriptions still mention 12 labels, so check the quantity selector and contact us if anything is unclear. Picking the right pack is a two-minute job if you count before you click. Here is how to do the count, and what each pack size is good for.

Start with a head count

Count the wrapped parcels you want to label, not just the recipients: one person may receive several gifts. Write down everyone who gets a gift from your household this year. Immediate family first, then grandparents, then the cousins at the family lunch. Now add the people who are easy to forget: the kids' teachers, the neighbour who feeds the cat, the domestic worker, the Secret Santa at work, the host of the Christmas Eve braai. The list is nearly always longer than you expect once the teachers and the neighbours go on it.

Add the extras

Add two or three labels for gifts you have not thought of yet. There is always a December visitor who arrives with a present, and you will want something to hand back. Then add a couple for the wobbles: a label that goes on skew, paper that tears, a gift that gets rewrapped at the last minute. Count your intended extras rather than assuming one pack will suit every household.

Which pack fits

A pack of 14 at R55 suits a small household with one round of gifts, or a single design for one group of people, such as the teachers or the office. It works out at about R3.93 a label.

A pack of 28 at R100 covers a family with kids and a wider circle of friends and relatives. It is also the point where the price per label drops, to about R3.57. If you need 15 to 28 labels in one design, one 28-pack costs R10 less than buying two 14-packs at the checked prices.

A pack of 42 at R145 is for large families, the person who does Christmas for everyone, and anyone gifting baked goods or jars by the dozen. At about R3.45 a label it has the lowest unit price of these three checked pack sizes, although it costs more in total. Choose it when you need the extra labels, not simply because the unit price is lower.

Mixing designs

Treat each design as a separate purchase when budgeting; the listings do not advertise a mixed-design pack. If you want Rudolf on the kids' gifts and Green Wreath on everyone else's, order a pack of each. Two packs of 14 come to R110, which is a little more than one pack of 28 at R100, so it is worth asking whether one design would do for the whole lot.

The simplest route is a family surname on a single design. "Love from the Millers" works on every parcel, whether it is going to Ouma, the teacher or the neighbour. If you have a look at the full range of designs, you will find a few that work for every recipient on the list.

The Santa labels count differently

Santa Christmas Gift Labels are addressed to a child by first name or nickname, love from Santa Claus. The listing supports a child’s first name or nickname but does not state whether names can be split within one pack. Check with us before ordering for several children. Count each child’s parcels separately, then confirm the personalisation arrangement you need.

When to order

Our shipping policy allows five working days for manufacturing personalised products. Courier delivery takes additional time and varies by destination and service. Check current Christmas deadlines rather than treating manufacturing time as a delivery guarantee. The earlier you order, the less you have to think about in the last week before Christmas. If you are still deciding what to write on the labels, our guide to personalising Christmas gift labels covers names, surnames and the Afrikaans option.
