Acrylic herb and vegetable markers: sizes, colours and wording

A personalised plant marker displays the name you choose beside a pot or garden bed. Our herb and vegetable markers are weather-resistant acrylic markers with custom text, two sizes and three colours. Weather resistance is a product description, not a guaranteed number of seasons or a claim of visibility from a set distance. This guide covers the two sizes, the three colours, what to type, and where each one belongs.

What the marker is

The description specifies acrylic with custom text and a pointed base for inserting into soil. It lists garden beds, raised planters and indoor pots as uses. Check the current artwork, text layout and care guidance before ordering; do not force the marker into hard ground or infer a tested weathering lifespan from the description.

Standard or compact

Standard is listed at 4 × 20 cm and Compact at 2 × 10 cm. Standard offers a larger marker for visibility; Compact is listed for smaller pots and tighter spaces. Measure the pot, planting area and the wording you want rather than assuming either size is readable at a particular distance.

Size Dimensions Best suited to Check first
Standard 4 × 20 cm A larger marker in a bed or planter Placement and text layout
Compact 2 × 10 cm Smaller pots and tighter spaces Readable wording in the smaller format

Choose based on your planting space, not an assumed rule for a particular plant species.

White, grey or black

White, grey and black are the listed colours. Compare them with your actual pot, soil and surrounding planting, and check the current product image for text contrast. A simple colour scheme, such as one colour for herbs and another for vegetables, is an organisational idea rather than a product requirement.

What to type

The marker supports custom text. Use a short plant name, or a variety name when you need to distinguish similar plants, and check spelling before paying. The description does not specify a universal character limit, font or fixed capitalisation. Ask about a long name or a particular layout rather than assuming it fits the Compact format.

Beyond the vegetable patch

A marker can label a pot collection or be part of a gardening gift after checking the recipient's plants and preferences. No fixed multi-marker gift set is established by the listing; confirm quantities and text arrangements before ordering several.

Our shipping policy allows five working days for manufacturing before collection or shipping; delivery takes additional time. For labelling the jars the harvest ends up in, our packaging labels guide covers the jar and bottle labels.
